The Freshet Collective is actively seeking full-time positions to join the ground crew in Mandan, North Dakota in our efforts to support 700+ Water Protectors facing state and federal criminal charges. We are most in need of people who can make a commitment of at least 6 months.

We are currently seeking to fill the following full time positions in the most immediate future:

1. Hospitality – Looking for self-motivated and enthusiastic people to arrange travel and tend to housing logistics. Duties include online scheduling, arranging travel reimbursement, shopping, cleaning, and attending community meetings.      

2. Organizers – We are looking for people with skills and experience coordinating with multiple people (via phone, email, and in person) who can maintain communication with many arrestees. Access to phones and email will be provided.

3. Media/Communications - Job duties may include writing press releases, speaking with journalists, social media management, creating infographics and educational/informative videos.

Monthly compensation is $2400 plus a generous stipend for food, housing, and travel. We are a dynamic collective of about 6 people and are flexible in how the work gets done. We hold ourselves accountable to Water Protectors and each other. In an effort to make this work Indigenous led, Lakota and Dakota folks living in Bismarck/Mandan and surrounding regions are encouraged to apply. Indigenous applicants will be prioritized and non-Indigenous women/gender-queer/trans people of color are also encouraged to apply.
